The Health Effects of Indoor Pollution

The World Health Organization (WHO) reports that more than 3 million people die each year from outdoor air pollution and that number is set to double by 2050. The WHO has also linked well over 4 million deaths to indoor air pollution in 2012. To put this into perspective, more people die each year from air pollution-related illnesses than AIDS and Malaria-related illnesses combined. Cleaner air has been shown to lead to many health benefits, including the reduction of strokes, heart disease, lung cancer, and respiratory diseases, such as asthma. Reducing indoor air pollution is an important step to a lifetime of better health for you and your family.
